- BETANOL CO2 CURED SYSTEM
BETANOL CC 2085 System is Organic binders, no bake, gas curing types, have been introduced periodically by replacing inorganic binders like water glass (sodium silicate) & phosphates and cereals like starch, vegetable oils, molasses etc. to meet requirements of modern Foundries like high productivity, least possible cleaning operations, close dimensional accuracy and surface finish of castings with near perfection. In this process, sand mixed with BETANOL CC 3560 is blown or hand rammed in to core / mould box followed by passage of CO2 gas to form hard core / mold. This system is usable for casting ferrous and non-ferrous metal.

- NOVANOL Resin
NOVANOL RCS 1035 is a PF Novolac Resin used in manufacturing resin coated sand (Shell Moulding Resin) for the shell process (Croning Process). This resin is particularly suitable for warm coating process where it shows optimum strength and curing characteristics. It is available in flakes form.
NOVANOL CG 1040 is Powder Phenolic Resin as a binder system for refractory foundry coatings. It offers excellent bonding strength, thermal stability, and coating consistency when used with graphite, zirconium, and magnesite-based formulations. The product ensures superior surface finish, reduced metal penetration, and improved coating durability during metal casting operations.

- MOLD RELEASE AGENT
MRA CS 1005 is a mold release agent designed for core shooter machines using resin-coated sand. It provides excellent release properties, ensuring smooth and defect-free core removal while extending mold life.
MRA ADC 2025 & MRA ADC 2035 is recommended as mold release agents for aluminum die casting. The product brings about a good wetting of the mold at high temperatures, very good film forming and outstanding adhesion to the mold surface. The mold is protected from damage and the finished molded components have an excellent surface quality.

ADVANTAGES of phenolic resins in metal casting
Phenolic resins are widely used in the metal casting industry due to their numerous advantages, particularly in the sand casting process. These resins offer several benefits that make them a popular choice for producing high-quality molds and cores. Here are the key advantages of using phenolic resins in metal casting:
High Strength and Durability:
- Phenolic resins form strong and durable molds that can withstand the mechanical stresses of the casting process. This strength helps prevent mold deformation and breakage during metal pouring and solidification, which is crucial for producing accurate and high-quality castings.
Thermal Stability:
- Phenolic resins have excellent heat resistance, making them suitable for casting metals that require high pouring temperatures, such as iron, steel, and other alloys. The resin’s ability to withstand high temperatures helps to maintain mold integrity during casting.
Good Dimensional Accuracy:
- Castings made with phenolic resin molds often exhibit high dimensional accuracy. This is particularly important for industries that require precision in the final product, such as automotive, aerospace, and machinery manufacturing.
Low Shrinkage:
- Phenolic resins typically experience minimal shrinkage during the curing and cooling process, helping to maintain the size and shape of the mold. This ensures better casting precision and reduces the chances of defects such as warping or cracking.
Improved Surface Finish:
- Molds made with phenolic resins tend to produce castings with smooth surfaces, reducing the need for extensive post-casting finishing processes. This is beneficial for industries that require high-quality surface finishes, such as automotive parts or decorative metal items.
Chemical Resistance:
- Phenolic resins are resistant to various chemicals and provide protection against the corrosive effects of molten metals. This property ensures that the resin does not degrade when exposed to reactive metals and alloys during the casting process.
Fast Curing Time:
- The curing process for phenolic resins is relatively fast, allowing foundries to increase production efficiency. This is particularly important in high-volume production environments where quick turnaround times are necessary.
Cost-Effectiveness:
- While phenolic resins can be more expensive than some other materials, their durability, ease of handling, and reduced need for repairs or replacements can lead to cost savings in the long run. Additionally, the improved casting quality often reduces.
